The IAFM Cologne International Piano Competition 2024 is an open competition which aims to offer the talented young artists an international platform and supports opportunity for young artists to gain experience.
The competition will be held Online during May & June 2024 and is open to pianists from any Nationality.
[Junior Talent] – from 12 to 15 years old
Program
The competition will be held in two rounds.
- First Round: maximum 10 Minutes
– free repertoire
- Final Round: maximum 15 Minutes
– One movement of L.v. Beethoven, W.A.Mozart or J.Haydn piano sonata
– One or more pieces of free repertoire
- Prizes
1st Prize : 300 €
– Online-Concert in IAFM Köln
2nd Prize: 200 €
– Online-Concert in IAFM Köln
3rd Prize: 100 €
– Online-Concert in IAFM Köln
- Participation Fee: 60 €
General information about video application
Every round consists of an evaluation of a submitted video recording (e.g., a YouTube link, Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, or any similar downloadable alternative). The link must be sent to info@iafm-koeln.de.
The following requirements apply to the submitted videos:
All works must be memorized and should be performed without repeats.
Multi-movement works do not need to be performed in their entirety; single movements are acceptable.
The recordings must not be older than 3 months and only contain the repertoire required for the Competition.
Videos must be unedited and in one take in horizontal mode. (Without transitions, or additional effects)
The applicant’s hands and face must be always clearly visible.
Applicants must say their name, age group and The International Piano Competition of IAFM Cologne 2024 before the start of the performance.
