Tenor, John Heuzenroeder is a member of the Ensemble at the Cologne Opera. John studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia and in 2000 received his Master of Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He enjoys exploring and performing a very broad range of operatic and concert repertoire from styles throughout the classical western musical tradition.
Recent highlights in 2022 include performing LOGE in the Cologne Opera’s condensed Ring cycle and Mime (Das Rheingold) at the Bregenz Festival in 2021. Also in 2021 John had his debut at the Philharmonie in Berlin singing the tenor solos in Stravinsky’s CANTICUM SACRUM under the Baton of François Xavier Roth with Les Siècles. In October 2021 he presented Schubert’s cycle DIE SCHÖNE MÜLLERIN with pianist Felix Hornbacher in Rosenheim (Bavaria). John’s recent HERODES (Salome) at Oper Köln in 2019 was very well received as was his CD of Mozart’s Masonic Music released in 2019 by the Scandinavian Label, BIS.
