The admission exams of the International Music Academy Cologne for the disciplines piano, string instruments, woodwind, brasswind instruments and vocal studies for the summer semester 2024 will take place on February 17-23.
Application deadline for the registration is February 15th 2024.
Video application for the summer semester 2024
In the pre-college, undergraduate, master’s and concert exam courses, there is an opportunity, that the entrance exam will take place via submitting videos due to the limitations associated with the corona crisis.
The deadline for submitting the application videos is 02/15/2024.
General information about video application
The following requirements apply to the submitted videos:
The recordings must not be older than 6 months and only contain the repertoire required for the entrance examination.
All pieces have to be recorded without processing and without cuts.
The online entrance exam comprises the following parts:
Piano:
A 15 minutes video (e.g. YouTube) or a DVD recording with a selection from the program made by the applicant. The recording conditions must be submitted.
Singing:
A video with a maximum time of 15 minutes, that includes 3 pieces, must be submitted. The applicant must make a selection from the program in accordance with the admission requirements.
Strings / winds:
A 15 minutes video (e.g. YouTube) or a DVD recording with a selection from the program made by the applicant. The recording conditions must be submitted.
Recording without a piano accompaniment is also possible.
